I just realized why the design lines and some of the elements of  Billy’s new costume looked so familiar. 

It’s Admiral Kirk’s uniform from Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

Oh my god. XD If someone writes me a fic where Teddy calls him on it, I will love them forever and ever and ever. 

I highly encourage someone to write a real fic of it, but until that glorious day:

Teddy doesn’t say anything at first—it’s not the time to. But once they’re alone, everyone having been ushered off to different bedrooms on the spaceship, he’s not about to stay quiet.

“New costume. I like it.”

Billy gives him a calculating look and Teddy puts on his best innocent face. (He’s always been good at acting). “Thanks,” Billy finally says, suspiciously, and Teddy knows that Billy thinks he might know. Teddy does, of course. How Billy thought he might not is ridiculous.

Billy starts stripping of his costume, pulling the cape off first. Teddy circles around him, before sitting on the edge of the bed.

“It’s fascinating,” Teddy muses, grin slipping across his features. “A bit familiar though. Like I’ve seen it somewhere before.”

“Really?” Billy’s pointedly not looking at him.

Teddy imagines he’s blushing, embarrassed. “I like it, though. It boldly goes where no costume has gone before.”

Billy groans and turns to face him, finally. His cheeks are—as expected—pink. “It’s not like it’s the same or anything—I just liked the basic design!”

“I really hope it lives long and prospers,” Teddy answers in a serious tone, his smirk betraying him.

“What’s it going to take to keep you silent on this?”

“I’ll have to get back to you on that one, Admiral.”
